NEW YORK, Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Newsweek, in partnership with Statista, today announced the fourth annual edition of World’s Most Trustworthy Companies, recognizing 1,000 companies that have earned the confidence of customers, employees and investors across 20 countries. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, The Campbell’s Company, Samsung SDS, Linde, The Clorox Company, Tesco and Nintendo are among the companies earning the No. 1 position in their respective industries.
Newsweek’s World’s Most Trustworthy Companies 2026 is based on an independent survey of more than 65,000 participants across 20 countries. Approximately 200,000 company evaluations were submitted across three dimensions of trust: investor trust, customer trust, and employee trust.
Trust plays a critical role in how consumers, employees, job seekers, and investors evaluate organizations. This year’s ranking examines trust as a multidimensional measure, looking beyond a company’s reputation with any single audience to assess how organizations are viewed by the customers they serve, the people they employ, and the investors who support them. Companies in the materials and automotive space have some of the highest average trust scores. Conglomerates also score highly.

The survey findings were complemented by a social listening analysis of more than 320,000 media mentions to determine whether public sentiment toward eligible companies was positive, neutral or negative. Companies meeting Statista’s predefined exclusion criteria relating to significant recent trust-related controversies or legal matters were not eligible for consideration. The final score was weighted 80 percent on survey results and 20 percent on social listening analysis, with the 1,000 highest-scoring companies recognized as Newsweek’s World’s Most Trustworthy Companies 2026.
