DEVON, Pa., Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Recovery Centers of America (RCA), a nationally recognized leader in evidence-based addiction treatment, announced today that Kendall Keller, Enterprise Director of Licensing and Regulatory at RCA, has been appointed to Joint Commission's (JC) Behavioral Health Care and Human Services Advisory Council. Keller will serve a two-year term through summer 2028.
As the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare, JC provides innovative solutions, resources, and education to build resilient healthcare organizations around the world. The JC advisory council brings together individuals with expertise in settings and services eligible for accreditation in behavioral services. Keller will support JC's mission to evaluate healthcare organizations and inspire them to excel in providing safe, effective care of the highest quality and value.
Keller brings 18 years of experience in healthcare quality, compliance, and risk management. At RCA, she oversees licensing, accreditation, and regulatory compliance for 17 locations across 10 states. She plays a key role in RCA's growth by researching regulatory requirements for new ventures and securing the licenses, accreditations and registrations needed to launch new programs, service lines, and sites.
"Every new program we launch at RCA starts with getting the regulatory foundation right, because that's what protects patients and earns their trust," said Keller. "Serving on this council is a chance to share RCA's industry expertise and to help shape standards that raise the bar for behavioral health care everywhere."
As a council member of the Behavioral Health Care and Human Services Advisory Council, Keller will advise on current and emerging issues in the field and share feedback on how they affect patients' care experience. Members also have the opportunity to weigh in on proposed changes to JC's standards, policies, products and services, help shape educational resources for accredited organizations, and provide input on the strategic direction of the enterprise's Behavioral Health Care Accreditation programs.
Keller's appointment places RCA among a select group of organizations helping to inform the future of behavioral health care accreditation nationwide and reflects RCA's ongoing commitment to saving lives from the disease of addiction by delivering high quality, comprehensive, and evidence-based care.
"We are proud to welcome Recovery Centers of America to the Joint Commission's Behavioral Health and Human Services Advisory Council," said Ken Grubbs, DNP, MBA, RN, Chief Nursing Executive & Executive Vice President, Accreditation and Certification Operations, Joint Commission. "Their expertise and commitment to supporting patients with substance use and mental health disorders brings an important perspective to the Council, and we look forward to collaborating with them as we continue to listen, learn, and identify opportunities to strengthen quality and safety across the behavioral health care continuum."
