Media Advisory: Infrastructure Announcement in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, BC, May 27, 2026 /CNW/ - Members of the media are invited to an infrastructure announcement with the Honourable Gregor Robertson, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure and Minister responsible for Pacific Economic Development Canada, the Honourable Mike Farnworth, Minister of Transportation and Transit, and representatives from the City of Vancouver and TransLink.
A limited number of media will have the opportunity to board a train and travel a new route before returning to the starting point.
As the train has limited space, media who wish to participate and ask a question must register to attend in person and ensure a spot.

Underground paid parking is available at 565 Great Northern Way in the South Flatz, Lot 119. Street parking may also be available.
All attendees must comply with worksite provincial safety regulations and are required to wear full-length pants, long-sleeve shirts, and safety boots that provide ankle support and toe protection. Other necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) will be outlined upon registration.
Interested media are required to provide their own PPE and must register by emailing kalen.lumgair@gov.bc.ca by Thursday, May 28 at 3:00 p.m. PT. Media with questions about the event or PPE requirements can call Ministry of Transportation and Transit media relations.
Media who fail to register will not be able to join the tour.
Media are asked to dial in 15 minutes before the event and have the participant passcode ready. Failure to do this may mean a delay for you or others joining the call.
